Job details

Our client is a premier wireless telecommunications solutions provider delivering mission-critical infrastructure across a diverse range of industries. They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join their team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), with a primary focus on developing and managing business within the public safety, public sector, and transit/transportation markets. The Regional Sales Manager will be instrumental in generating new business, expanding existing accounts, and strengthening enterprise partnerships throughout Ontario. Working closely with the broader sales organization, this role will be responsible for evaluating complex customer requirements, developing custom solution proposals, and preparing accurate project estimates. The successful candidate will report directly to the Executive Leadership team and collaborate regularly with engineering, project services, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored, turnkey systems. This position includes a competitive base salary and an attractive commission plan. The individual will travel as needed for regional business meetings and utilize a hybrid workspace, dividing time between the GTA office and working remotely. Key Responsibilities Customer Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing public sector, public safety, and transportation accounts. Solution-Based Selling: Collaborate with internal engineering and technical services teams to design customized, practical, and cost-effective wireless communication solutions. Territory Management: Leverage CRM tools to develop strategic territory plans, manage the sales pipeline, track opportunities, and prioritize high-value prospects. Account Expansion: Stay informed on industry developments and emerging technologies—including mission-critical voice (LMR), private LTE, and advanced digital wireless networks—to identify opportunities for account growth, cross-selling, and upselling. Solution Bundling: Identify opportunities to combine hardware products, professional services, and software technologies into comprehensive systems that address customer requirements and maximize contract value. Qualifications Sales Experience: Minimum of 7–10+ years of professional B2B or enterprise sales experience. Industry Domain: Proven background in wireless communications, telecommunications infrastructure, technical systems support, or closely related network environments. Market Familiarity: Previous experience selling technology, infrastructure, or unified communication solutions to public sector agencies, first responders, utilities, or transportation organizations. Technical Acumen: Working knowledge of radio frequency (RF) technologies, wireless networks, or critical data communications systems, with a strong willingness to continuously learn about new product lines. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication capabilities, with the ability to deliver effective presentations to both technical and executive stakeholders. Mindset: A self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach with a demonstrated ability to hunt for new opportunities, build lasting customer relationships, and consistently exceed sales objectives.
