Job details

Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid) | Travel: Up to 20% (Ontario & Alberta)Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: Base Salary + Performance Incentives Company Overview: Fire Cube is a well-established 15-year-old engineering firm with a stellar reputation in Fire Protection Engineering. Having built a strong legacy and hundreds of successful projects through founder-led sales, we are hiring our first dedicated Technical Sales Representative to drive our commercial growth across Ontario and Alberta. In this high-impact, autonomous role, you will systematically re-engage our database of past clients and warm leads while actively prospecting net-new accounts. The successful candidate needs to be a driven sales professional who understands fire protection, speaks the language of contractors, consultants, facility owners, and operators, and knows how to build quotes and close deals. About the Role: This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales position in a lean, niche fire protection consulting and engineering firm. You will own the entire sales lifecycle: prospecting, industry events, cold outreach, estimating, writing commercial and technical proposals alongside our engineering team, following up, and closing deals. If you thrive on autonomy, hustle, and owning every piece of the pipeline from initial phone call to signed contract, this is your role. If you prefer delegating execution to support teams, this will not be the right fit. Key Responsibilites: Full-Cycle Pipeline Management: Source, qualify, pitch, and close technical service engagements ranging from rapid-turnaround small projects (under $10k) to complex, multi-stage enterprise accounts ($200k+). Hands-on Proposal & Quote Generation: Gather project specifications, collaborate directly with technical engineering leads to establish pricing, and draft commercial proposals independently. Database & Network Reactivation: Audit, call, and systematically re-engage our 13-year historical database of warm contacts, past clients, and dormant accounts. Outbound Prospecting: Perform regular cold outreach via phone, email, and site visits across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, with a focused push into heavy industrial and energy markets in Ontario and Alberta. Assess and Respond to RFPs through public bidding websites, and client/governmental specific websites. CRM & Pipeline Admin: Generate and maintain accurate deal tracking, outreach notes, and contact records in CRM. Qualifications & Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on B2B technical sales, estimating, or business development in fire protection industry or engineering industry (e.g., fire protection contractors, risk and insurance, engineering service providers). Clear understanding of fire protection systems, codes, and client requirements. P.Eng or C.E.T. designation is not required—practical industry knowledge and sales drive are what matter. Capable of pursuing high-volume outreach, building your own proposal decks, and pushing open quotes across the finish line without relying on sales support staff. Proven ability to manage both quick transactional sales (30–60 days) and long-term sales pursuits (6–12 months). Mobility: Based within commuting distance of our Mississauga office for a flexible hybrid schedule, with the ability to travel periodically across Ontario and key regional hubs in Alberta. What We Offer: Competitive Base + very competitive performance-based incentives and extended health benefits. Immediate. Warm Pipeline: Access to over 10 years of brand reputation, past client lists, and historical project data to kickstart your outreach. High Autonomy: Direct access to company founders, zero corporate bureaucracy, and complete ownership over your day-to-day workflow. Hybrid Workplace: Modern office setup in Mississauga with hybrid work model.
