Your Role: As Sales Representative you will drive sales and profitability across Elanco’s ruminant portfolio by demonstrating the value of our products and services to customers throughout Alberta. The Sales Representative follows a Customer Value Selling (CVS) and Strategic Account Management (SAM) approach to cultivate long-term mutually beneficial customer relationships, and continuously identifies and develops business opportunities in collaboration with key accounts.Based in Southern Alberta and spending approximately 60% of your time with customers, you will build long-term partnerships with producers, veterinarians, nutritionists, consultants, feed channel partners and other industry influencers. Your Responsibilities: Achieve annual sales, profitability and market-share objectives across the assigned territory and designated key accounts. Build trusted customer relationships through Customer Value Selling (CVS) and Strategic Account Management (SAM), developing account plans, sales forecasts and customer-specific strategies. Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Elanco’s ruminant portfolio and communicate relevant product, scientific and market information effectively to varied audiences. Analyse customer, industry, market and competitive insights to identify business opportunities, provide input to business planning and support customers’ business growth. Deliver customer meetings, training sessions, seminars and value-added services; execute marketing initiatives; maintain accurate customer and territory information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; and report suspected adverse events and product complaints in accordance with Elanco policies. What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or technical field, such as Agricultural Science, Animal Health, or Business, or equivalent sales experience in Agricultural Science or Animal Health. A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in Animal Health or Animal Nutrition, or 5 years of sales experience in Agricultural Science. Fluent English language skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a valid driver’s license. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications): Experience in ruminant health or nutrition market. Experience selling products or services in the animal health or agricultural industries. Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and sales competency models. Knowledge of ruminant production systems. Experience managing customers and accounts across a regional or multi-province territory. Additional Information: Travel: Approximately 60% field-based customer time; occasional travels outside of the territory. Location: Alberta Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada Existing Open Vacancy Elanco Benefits and Perks: The expected base salary for this position ranges from $71,000 to $100,000. The actual base salary offered may vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees. The compensation package is subject to change, and the actual base salary could be higher or lower than the range described above.
