Job summary
We have an opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager - Central Ontario. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) develops and maintains long-term relationships with established customers in South Central Ontario. The RSM continually expands customer account base by establishing consultative selling relationships and making effective sales presentations. This territory includes: Simcoe, Dufferin, Muskoka, York and Parry Sound. Duties and Responsibilities * Makes consultative sales in-person on all company accounts; including supportive and non-supportive customers, related to the industry. * Ensures all communication with new and existing customers is logged into a CRM system. * Positively relates to and responds to customer challenges and objections. * Secures and develops new accounts through networks and market interaction within established territory. Makes cold and networking calls, and presentations with potential customers. * Assists in the annual preparation and finalization of the formal sales budget for the territory. * Participates in the activities of the Agriculture, Building Trades, Greenhouse, and Infrastructure, including open houses, golf tournaments, trade shows, and educational courses. * Continually analyzes and assesses the sales territory for market sales expansion opportunities (new customer accounts). * Onsite technical support for clients and to the design and construction communities * Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support * Provide input for new product development Requirements * Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Building Trades, Greenhouse, and Infrastructure, Arts, Business Administration or related discipline from a college or university. * Sales and/or marketing experience; preferably in Agriculture, Building Trades, Greenhouse, and Infrastructure product manufacturing or technically related field. * Basic computer skills (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, CRM). * Excellent interpersonal skills, which involves the ability to effectively interact with persons at all levels of the organization and for relationship building is required. * Solid organizational, and time and priority management skills are needed to organize and plan workload priorities on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. * Familiarity with contact management systems * Cost-containment and effectiveness with sales budgets and business expenses.
