Job details
ABOUT WAYHIRE WayHire Staffing Solutions Inc. provides dependable workforce solutions across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. We support warehouses, distribution centres, 3PL and logistics companies, manufacturers, food-processing facilities, e-commerce operations, and other fast-paced businesses with temporary, contract, project-based, and permanent staffing. Our promise is simple: The Right People. The Right Fit. THE OPPORTUNITY WayHire is seeking a results-driven Business Development Specialist to expand our client partnerships across Metro Vancouver and British Columbia, with opportunities to support growth in other Canadian markets. This is primarily a client-acquisition role combining B2B sales, relationship development, and targeted marketing. The successful candidate will identify prospective clients, connect with decision-makers, secure meetings, understand operational challenges, and present staffing solutions that deliver measurable value. You will manage opportunities from the first conversation through proposal, agreement, account launch, and operational handoff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Identify and qualify prospective clients in warehousing, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, food production, e-commerce fulfilment, and related industries. • Conduct professional outreach through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, and in-person meetings. • Build relationships with operations leaders, HR managers, warehouse managers, procurement teams, supply-chain professionals, and business owners. • Lead discovery meetings to understand workforce volumes, shift requirements, operational challenges, service expectations, and upcoming projects. • Prepare and present customized staffing solutions, proposals, and service options. • Manage the complete sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through follow-up, rate discussions, agreement coordination, and account launch. • Maintain accurate CRM records, follow-up schedules, pipeline updates, and sales forecasts. • Support targeted marketing campaigns that generate qualified business leads. • Coordinate with WayHire’s recruitment and operations teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding experience. • Grow existing accounts by identifying additional locations, departments, and workforce requirements. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • At least two years of successful B2B sales or business-development experience. • Experience selling staffing, recruitment, payroll, HR, logistics, or other business services is strongly preferred. • A demonstrated ability to generate leads, conduct cold outreach, book meetings, and close new business. • Knowledge of Metro Vancouver’s warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution market is a strong asset. • Existing relationships with HR, operations, procurement, supply-chain, or warehouse leaders are highly valued. • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up skills. • Self-motivated and comfortable independently managing a sales pipeline. • Able to attend occasional client meetings throughout Metro Vancouver. • Legally authorized to work in Canada. WHY JOIN WAYHIRE • Remote and field-based contract opportunity. • Direct access to company leadership and operational support. • Performance-based earning opportunities. • The ability to develop accounts across multiple industries and Canadian markets. • Long-term growth potential based on performance. COMPENSATION CA$55,000–CA$75,000 per year, plus performance-based commission. Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience, industry relationships, and demonstrated ability to develop new business. The commission structure will be discussed during the interview. HOW TO APPLY Apply through LinkedIn with your résumé and a short note describing your B2B sales experience, the industries and markets you have worked with, and one example of a new client account you personally helped secure. Confidential client names are not required.
