Employer Overview Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Position Summary Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Business Development Manager drives and supports the growth of our business by identifying and evaluating opportunities for customer-driven solutions that are cost-effective. This individual will help define key business opportunities for Total Oilfield Rentals Ltd. This position is fulltime and is based out of Northeast British Columbia. Time Commitment 5 days on, 2 days off, on call as required. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Support Marketing and Operations team efforts to increase sales opportunities and development of major accounts in the local region. * Create and develop effective partnerships and relationships with major customers so that sales objectives can be achieved * Meets with customers/potential customers to execute sales personally to develop, foster, and nurture strong client relationships through ongoing contact and follow-up * Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all current and future regulations and legislation pertaining to the Oil & Gas industry and trends. * Will work with senior management to develop and implement market strategies for customers as well as securing commitment of TOR’s resources to assure continued customer satisfaction. * Continually assess customer service levels to ensure clients receive the highest level of service * Take full advantage of long-standing customer relations to effect referrals, to network within key Western Canada locations * React quickly to service issues and resolve appropriately and in a professional manner, with a high sense of urgency Required Competencies * 5-10 years of specific industry experience mainly in Drilling, Completions and Plant Facilities Operations * Previous field experience / supervisory experience and/or was a fully contributing member on significant projects and/or teams. * Familiar with rental equipment and oil field transportation services. * Excellent presentation skills, excellent written/oral communication skills and a strong self starter. * Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. * Self starter and well organized * Strong-minded, loyal, eager to build and grow with the company. * Ability to travel within Western Canada * Clean drivers abstract What We Offer * Competitive compensation package * Health & Dental benefit coverage * Generous Employee Stock Savings Plan – 150% employer match contribution * Committed to employee advancement and education We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
