Swimlane is seeking a highly motivated, U.S.-based BDR to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will drive new business through a balanced mix of outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification. You’ll research target accounts, identify key personas, personalize outreach sequences, qualify meetings, and hand off high-quality opportunities to our sales team—while partnering closely with Marketing and BDR leadership to optimize messaging, cadences, and conversion rates. As a key member of the marketing team, closely collaborating with our sales team, this full-time position reports directly to the Business Development Manager. What you'll do Drive sales opportunities by proactively prospecting to schedule sales meetings and qualifying prospects against ICP and defined criteria to ensure strong fit and high conversion. Research and identify target accounts and key personas that align with Swimlane’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Craft and execute personalized, multi-channel outreach sequences using email, cold calls, and social media. Execute timely follow-up on leads generated from marketing campaigns, webinars, and industry events to create net-new opportunities. Hit the number: Achieve or exceed targets for quarterly and annual Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs). Attend regional events and tradeshows to engage prospects in person, qualify their interest, and schedule meetings. CRM management: Effectively utilize and maintain the CRM to manage activities, track sales details, and ensure accurate reporting. Continuous improvement: Actively participate in sales training and development to enhance skills and stay competitive. Customer understanding: Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and ICP to tailor outreach and engagement strategies. Value proposition articulation: Translate Swimlane’s advanced cybersecurity AI automation capabilities into clear business and technical outcomes for security leaders and practitioners. Product knowledge: Stay informed about product updates and changes, ensuring accurate and current messaging. Cross-team collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment and work towards common objectives. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years of sales experience (B2B enterprise software selling preferred) Excellent communication and rapport-building: Demonstrated ability to establish strong connections with prospects through effective communication. Professional presence: Strong confidence and professional demeanor in phone and Zoom communications. Listening and presentation skills: Exceptional listening skills paired with the ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations, along with the ability to craft compelling and personalized messages. Proven success: A goal-oriented mindset with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Positive attitude and work ethic: A "can-do" attitude coupled with a strong work ethic. A natural curiosity and desire to become an expert in cybersecurity, AI automation, and our target buyers. Preferred Qualifications: Cold outbound prospecting experience Experience using Salesforce Experience with sales automation tools such as Outreach or Salesloft Experience with 6sense or other account-based marketing (ABM) tool Industry experience in the business-to-business (B2B) enterprise sales, cybersecurity market, or similar solutions is a plus 4-year college degree The preferred location for our hire is Denver, CO. Although, remote US hires will also be considered. Candidates must be US residents at the time of application in order to be considered. The base salary for this position is targeted at $70,000/annually and is dependent on skills and experience.
