Role Description The Commercial Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Elmira, ON, with flexibility for part-time work from home. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing proactive service, and acting as a primary point of contact for coverage inquiries, renewals, and policy changes. Day-to-day tasks include preparing quotes and proposals, processing endorsements, coordinating renewals, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation in brokerage systems. The Commercial Account Manager collaborates with producers and internal teams to identify coverage gaps, support new business opportunities, and assist with marketing to insurers. The role also involves resolving client issues, educating clients on insurance solutions, and maintaining strong, long-term relationships aligned with PIB’s values of trust and tailored guidance. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Account Management and Customer Service to manage a commercial client portfolio and deliver responsive, relationship-focused support. Knowledge of Insurance products and markets, with the ability to explain coverage options and navigate underwriting requirements. Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to present information to clients and colleagues. Experience in Sales or business development within insurance or a related field, with the ability to identify opportunities and support growth. Relevant licensing or accreditation (such as RIBO or equivalent), or eligibility and willingness to obtain required insurance licenses. Proficiency with brokerage management systems and standard office software; strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration in Elmira, ON with independent work from home. Prior experience in commercial lines insurance is an asset; additional training or education in business, finance, or risk management is beneficial.

Requirements
Candidates must have experience in account management and customer service within the insurance industry, ideally with commercial lines knowledge. Required qualifications include strong communication skills, proficiency in brokerage software, and relevant insurance licensing such as RIBO or the ability to obtain it.
