Job summary

About The Role OQtima is a fintech and trading group on the move, helping clients access the markets that matter to them. We've got teams in Cyprus and Spain, big ambitions, and a lot of ground still to cover. This isn't a role where you'll be handed a polished playbook and told to follow it. We're still small, still scrappy, and we need someone who wants to build the UK market pretty much from scratch — opening doors, figuring out what UK clients need, and turning conversations into real business. No FX or trading background? That's fine. If you've got some, great — it'll help. But what we really want is someone who can sell, who knows the UK market, and who'd rather move fast and get stuck in than wait for everything to be perfect. What You'll Do You'll own the UK market end to end. That means: Going out and finding the business — prospecting, networking, digging up leads Running the conversations yourself, from first call to close Really listening to prospects and figuring out what they need, not just pitching Selling OQtima's products in a way people understand and buy into Negotiating deals and getting new clients properly onboarded Building real relationships with the people who matter in the UK market Keeping the CRM honest and up to date — no one enjoys this, but it matters Looping in compliance, operations and the dealing team so onboarding goes smoothly Keeping an eye on what's happening in the UK market and feeding that back to the business Speaking up when you've got a better idea — we're small enough that good ideas go somewhere Who You Are Track record and attitude matter more to us than a perfect CV. You'll fit right in if you've got: At least 5 years in business development or sales, ideally with some UK market experience No FX, trading or fintech background needed — though if you've got it, even better Real numbers to back up your sales track record, not just a good story Strong communication and negotiation skills, and the confidence to run a deal start to finish A genuine willingness to work independently and build something rather than manage something already built A hands-on attitude — we're small, so you'll be doing the work, not delegating it Drive and urgency — we want business moving quickly, not slowly Resilience and a solid work ethic; this is a target-driven role Curiosity and an openness to learning the FX/trading space if it's new to you Fluent English — other languages are a bonus What OQtima Offers A real shot at building and owning a market from the ground up A close-knit, international team across Cyprus and Spain Room to grow as the company grows — and it's growing fast Exposure to a high-performance commercial environment A culture built on ambition, ownership and getting things done together If you want a role where YOUR work moves the needle, and you're ready to roll your sleeves up and go get the business, we'd love to hear from you.
