Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, as a member of the Sales & Marketing team, the Manager is responsible for maximizing revenues generated in the group segment. He/she will be responsible for handling requests from groups of 50 rooms or more.He/she will work closely with other managers to maximize sales and liaise with convention and meeting service managers. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and maintain key business relationships and partnerships to increase company rates, volume and revenue. Negotiate group rates. Develop and generate group contracts. Follow-up on proposals and contracts. Strategically structure pricing for each category segment. Understand global market and economic trends. Work in collaboration with Marriott International (GSO) and business partners. Participate in industry activities both inside and outside the hotel. Qualifications and Skills Required: Very strong written and oral communication skills Professional attitude and behavior (teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills). Good customer service skills. Good interpersonal skills Attention to detail and quality. Good judgment and decision-making skills. Planning and organization. Ethics and integrity. Creativity and innovation in service delivery. Languages: Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele. Experience 1-year sales experience is preferred Strong sales, negotiation, presentation and business writing skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to meet deadlines in a demanding environment. Willingness to travel and availability evenings and weekends as needed.
