Job summary
The Opportunity: We're partnering with a small, yet well-established Canadian engineering and industrial solutions firm that specializes in power systems, harmonic mitigation, and power quality applications. They’re looking to hire a technically driven Applications & Technical Sales Support professional to support their growing Power Quality division. This role is focused on supporting the internal technical sales process behind power quality opportunities, working closely with sales, engineering, consultants, contractors, and end users. It’s an excellent fit for someone with a strong electrical foundation who enjoys the technical-commercial side of engineering and wants to develop deeper expertise in harmonics, VFD applications, and power quality solutions. What You'll Be Doing: Reviewing incoming projects, RFQs, and specifications to identify power quality opportunities Supporting preliminary harmonic assessments and solution sizing Assisting with application selection for harmonic filters, line reactors, and related PQ solutions Preparing technical quotations, proposals, and submittal documentation Coordinating with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, technical details, and lead times Responding to technical inquiries from consultants, contractors, and end users Supporting technical reviews, clarifications, and specification discussions Maintaining accurate project, quotation, and opportunity tracking within the CRM system Assisting with technical presentations and supporting documentation as required What You'll Need To Be Successful: Electrical Engineering degree or comparable technical background 2–5 years of relevant industry experience preferred Exposure to VFDs, industrial power systems, or power quality applications Ability to review electrical drawings and single-line diagrams Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities Experience with technical quotations, applications support, or inside sales is considered an asset Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or EPLAN is considered a strong asset Self-motivated, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment Interest in developing expertise in harmonic mitigation and power quality solutions Compensation Range: $90,000 - $110,000
