Role Description The Sales Consultant is a part-time, on-site role based in Belleville, ON. This role is responsible for engaging customers, understanding their eyewear and eye care needs, and providing tailored product recommendations that support vision and lifestyle. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, explaining product features and benefits, assisting with frame and lens selection, and facilitating a smooth sales process from consultation to purchase. The Sales Consultant collaborates with optometrists and other team members to ensure a seamless, high-quality customer experience, while meeting store sales and service goals. Additional responsibilities include maintaining product displays, handling basic administrative tasks related to sales, and upholding LensCrafters’ standards for service, professionalism, and brand representation. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Sales Consulting skills, with the ability to assess needs and recommend appropriate optical products. Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, focusing on building trust, delivering quality experiences, and resolving concerns effectively. Candidates should possess Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to convey product information in an accessible way. Candidates should possess Consulting skills to guide customers through options and support informed decisions about frames, lenses, and related services. Previous retail or optical sales experience is beneficial, especially in a customer-facing environment. Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Comfort with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in optics or retail sales is an asset.
