Summary
As part of our commercial team, the Underwriter Assistant's main duties will be to take charge of participating files and certain endorsements and will be responsible for providing clerical support to underwriters.
Main responsibilities
- Issue insurance documents for new files and renewals, such as insurance policies, endorsements, cancellations, and extensions
- Respond to requests from brokers and insurers regarding files
- Track pending approvals
- Follow up on missing information or documents in files
- Correct insurance documents as requested
- Complete renewal reports
Required profile
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an underwriting assistant
- Experience in commercial insurance (Required)
- AEC or DEC in insurance (Asset)
- Advanced level of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Bilingual
- Good sense of organization
- Ability to manage requests from several subscribers at the same time
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly and autonomously
- Good sense of responsibility and priorities
