Job Summary

As part of the marketing team, you will use customer insights to develop, implement and execute growth strategies through customer acquisition and loyalty programs. You will be responsible for driving customer value, awareness and increasing tea and beverage sales with the implementation of the overall customer strategy. This role requires collaboration with retail, digital and wholesale teams to align and implement customer centric marketing initiatives.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • ·Leverage and scale customer insights to educate and influence customer and build compelling selling stories
  • Own customer’s long-term strategy in collaboration with the strategic direction and brand calendar
  • Influence and leverage internal tools and resources to support customer strategy (e.g. via channel, assets, brand)
  • Develop and maintain customer buying and adoption personas
  • Contribute to the long-term and short-term planning of marketing plans, utilizing data-driven consumer insights.
  • Lead change management initiatives and advocate for customer centric decision making across the organization
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously evolve the customer experience strategy
  • Create strategies and partnership marketing programs grounded in consumer insights, tailored to meet both DAVIDsTEA and Wholesale partners’ needs.
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including retail, merchandising and digital marketing to develop insight-driven marketing programs aligned with consumer targeting and customer strategies.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and strong return on investment for all customer acquisition activities.
  • Strategize, develop, and execute channel and customer promotions/programs that leverage brand concepts and consumer insights to boost consumer preference and customer engagement.
  • Oversee consumer insights, industry trends, innovation, consumer initiatives within the defined customer portfolio.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations, effectively communicating research findings, consumer insights and profiles in the tea market, and actionable recommendations.
  • Work with partners to ensure marketing materials (e.g., point of sale, sales support materials, implementation guides) to facilitate effective communication of promotions.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and present new customer business opportunities

What we’d love to see in your previous work experience:

  • 8+ Years experience, preferably in marketing in fast-moving retail and wholesale industry or agency
  • Strong leadership skills and influencing ability
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, particularly within the retail or beverage industry
  • Experience in marketing materials development is an asset (including knowledge of marketing materials production processes, not limited to briefing, creative review, and production management)
  • Intermediate to advanced MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
  • Strong ability to translate data into actionable initiatives
  • Retail and/or Food Service experience is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree or certificate in Business, Marketing or related program
