Commercial Lead/Manager Oncology

Manages commercial aspects of brand or portfolio within a tumour site and cross functional interactions to champion all aspects of brand commercial activities. Responsible to accelerate customer/market adoption of brands, within assigned portfolio.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Understanding of key accounts and developing portfolio/tumour site value proposition tailored to key customer and institutional needs.
  • Lead Core Cross-Functional Tumour Team: Manage expertise from each member of team to create and implement customer & brand strategies. Project management including assignment of cross-functional team responsibilities for implementation of plans.
  • Planning/Development: Leads the tumour site planning process to realize brand objectives in support of portfolio priorities. Champions the implementation of tumour site, brand plans, and Field POA to realize commercial objectives.
  • Analytics: Regular analysis of market/product performance trends and create a plan of action to proactively address any issues
  • Account Planning: Provides input into National Account plans. Support regional account managers in implementation of plans.
  • P&L Accountability: Optimizes resources within portfolio to achieve financial goals. Monitors allocations to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Leadership: Leads cross functional team to optimize commercial performance of brand in support of portfolio priorities.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management: Lead collaboration, communication and alignment between internal stakeholders. Ensures that enabling functions are providing agreed to services and deliverables are appropriately tailored to the needs of the cross-functional tumor site team.
  • Regional & Account Business: Develops and implements regional commercial initiatives as a member of regional business teams. Ensures the tumour site funds are allocated in the region and accounts according to plan
  • New Product Development: Participation in new product development and responsible for assets at filing to Health Canada.
  • Professional Development: Develops and executes individual development plan to enhance performance on the job.

Specific Qualifications:

  • University degree in Science, Health Sciences or Business; graduate studies, un atout 
  • Five to ten years of pharmaceutical experience. 
  • Two to three years commercial experience in specialty/hospital an asset 
  • Experience in an institutional setting an asset 
  • Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to manage change 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and lead without authority 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead in a cross-functional team environment 
  • Strong analytical, budget and project management skills
