Sales / Account Management Consultant is needed to join a market leading technology business which serves over 3,000 customers globally. As part of a fast-paced cutting-edge environment, you can expect to play a key sales role developing our sales and marketing team and growing new business opportunities across North America.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the development and growth of existing client accounts and new sales opportunities. Whether you are establishing contact with libraries / museums; identifying new sales opportunities; organising and delivering product demonstrations; attending client meetings or attending events, it will be your excellent communication skills that drives business and industry recognition in the process. You will also help our sales and marketing team to create effective processes and procedures to improve the way we service our customers.

To qualify for this exciting new position…

You should be a Sales Consultant / Business Development Consultant / Account Management Consultant or similar with a resume that demonstrates:

  • Experience in a similar sales role, ideally within software, IT, Tech or a curatorial / archival background, with a desire to get into a consultative sales role;
  • A consultative and inquisitive approach used to explore business opportunities with customers;
  • A passion for working with museums in order to present technical solutions using your understanding of industry specific terminology and concepts;
  • A capacity to learn about new software and technology;
  • The ability to promote and demonstrate technical products;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Experience of using CRM tools such as Sales Force or Dynamics;
  • Experience of contributing to sales tenders and bids;
  • Some experience of events and tradeshows - highly desirable;
  • Some previous marketing experience, for example writing newsletters, blogs and case studies - desirable;
  • The ability to be pro-active, multi-task, and prioritise effectively;
  • Excellent teamworking and collaboration skills;
  • The willingness to travel for customer meetings and work without constant supervision;
  • Other language skills are highly desirable e.g. French or Spanish.
