Our Altrom Auto Group (AAG) Division in Richmond, BC is currently looking to fill the open position of Outside Sales Representative, assigned to the Area markets! Join their winning Team and take on this exciting business development opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, and working very closely with our branches you will work towards increasing sales and market share by promoting our entire line of automotive parts and related products & programs.

You are the image, face and voice of AAG vis-à-vis external clients. As such, you will be accountable for building and maintaining quality business relationships with our existing and new Customers by implementing National and Regional level sales development initiatives and promoting AAG parts and programs. You will contribute in keeping us abreast of Customer behaviour, competitive threats and market trends. You will actively participate in the development and refinement of sales development initiatives at the Regional level. Calling on installers and shops, you will implement sales development plans and support Regional strategies and objectives re: deployment of marketing programs and promotions. You will work with regional management and Branch Managers to develop sales development plans for growing business with existing Customers in your assigned territory. You will gather market intelligence and report service or product issues to Branch Managers and regional management; and you will make pricing recommendations on accounts and assist in collections and in ensuring accounts adhere to buying conditions.

In addition, you will work with internal UAP Sales Reps to promote the joint sales initiatives to customers by serving as the expert on import product lines and programs. You must have a well-rounded understanding of import parts and be able to communicate this product knowledge to customers and other internal stakeholders. Must be comfortable working as part of a team as well as individually - planning, organizing, and executing joint sales call with team members as well as individual sales calls with customers.

More specifically:

  • You will contribute in keeping us abreast of Customer behaviour, competitive threats and market trends.

You have a post-secondary education in Business, Business Management or Marketing, or related Business studies. Ideally, you are a candidate with Automotive parts industry work experience. You have strong computer and office technology skills, coupled with a solid sales & business development attitude and desire to win.
