About the Opportunity

Uniqair is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join our team in Abbotsford, BC.

In this role, you will work from our corporate office as well as travel to client facilities (mainly in the USA) to present our odour control solutions. Using our patented Venturi-Plasma cold plasma technology, you will work directly with clients to solve their most complex stack odour control problems with state-of-the-art high power 3kW to 100kW, high-frequency 30,000Hz discharge cold plasma.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Direct sales and prospecting, mainly in the USA.
  • Planning and executing a marketing strategy, with regular reporting back to the CEO.
  • Building a sales team and international sales/service network.
  • Reporting customer/prospect activities and monthly Sales Analysis of sales KPI performance/forecast.
  • Assisting R&D with new product ideas and application know-how.
  • Supervising staff operations and projects.
  • Being accountable for sales and profit.
  • Communicating professionally with customers at the highest management levels.

In order to qualify for this role, you will need to have a degree in Applied Physics or Chemical engineering combined with 5+ years of relevant sales/marketing experience.

Please note that an alternative combination of education and experience may be considered for the right candidate and necessary training will be provided. 

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in industrial air pollution control solutions and/or with in-depth technical application knowledge about industrial stack odour control systems.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • A demonstrated ability to initiate contacts, understand the problem, propose solutions and close sales with little direction.
  • The willingness to study and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • The ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and CRM (preferably InSightly).
  • The ability to travel frequently (usually to the USA) for sales, pilot testing and trade shows.
  • A valid Driver's license.
