This position will be based in our Toronto office Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit. The salary range for this position is $130,00-$175,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. What the day will look like As an Account Executive, you will be the central point of contact for key commercial risk clients, directing all aspects of account management, renewals, and service delivery. Drawing on your 15+ years of commercial risk experience, you will act as a strategic producer and trusted advisor to help clients navigate their most important risk challenges. You will: Direct and lead assigned commercial risk accounts, working with Associate Account Executives to deliver on client needs. Coordinate all account activity, including client requests, policy changes, additions, deletions, renewals, and cancellations. Work with the Broking Team to initiate and lead the 120‑day renewal process, including preparing and presenting renewal reports and reviewing final policy documentation. Review contracts, policies, endorsements, cover notes, and certificates of insurance to ensure accuracy and alignment with client requirements and underwriting considerations. Support clients on significant claims issues, liaising with internal claims resources as needed. Develop and lead senior‑level client relationships, identifying cross‑sell opportunities and supporting new business development within the commercial risk segment. How this opportunity is different This role sits within Aon’s Commercial Risk Practice, giving you the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of complex, high‑profile commercial accounts across industries. You will collaborate closely with Associate Account Executives, Broking, Claims, and other specialists, and be supported by Aon’s broader commercial risk tools, analytics, and market relationships to deliver distinctive value. You’ll have significant client visibility, influence program design and renewals, and contribute directly to practice growth in a strategic area for Aon. For an experienced commercial risk producer, this role offers the platform, resources, and autonomy to deepen client relationships and drive impactful results. Skills and experience that will lead to success 15+ years of commercial insurance experience, with a strong focus on commercial risk and working as a producer/trusted advisor to clients. Strong client relationship skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders as a trusted advisor. Proven experience leading account lifecycles, including renewals, documentation review, and coordination with broking and claims teams. Ability to analyze contracts and insurance requirements, anticipate underwriting issues, and provide clear guidance to clients and colleagues. University degree (or equivalent) preferred; RIBO license required; CIP, FCIP and/or CRM preferred or in progress; strong organizational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
