Sales Representative - British Columbia Territory Employment Type: Full Time, One Year Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage) Compensation: Estimated on target earnings of approximately $80,000 annually Job Summary Alendel Fabrics is seeking a full time Sales Representative for a one year fixed term contract to cover a maternity leave within the British Columbia territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining sales performance, supporting established customer relationships, and ensuring continuity of service across an active territory during the leave period. This role is well suited for a driven sales professional who can quickly onboard, build rapport with existing accounts, and operate independently while collaborating closely with internal teams to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities Maintain and manage existing customer and dealer relationships within the assigned British Columbia territory Support continuity of sales activity, customer follow ups, and account management during maternity leave coverage Identify and pursue incremental growth opportunities within the existing customer base Prospect and cultivate business with new customers, channels of distribution, and markets where appropriate Forecast sales and execute territory plans aligned with company objectives Prepare clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers Attend trade shows, meetings, conferences, and educational events as required Travel extensively within the assigned territory to support customer engagement and sales goals Leverage technology and digital tools to support business development and customer communication Update, educate, and train customers on product offerings and applications Partner closely with sales operations and leadership to ensure effective handover, account insight sharing, and territory alignment Desired Skills and Qualifications Minimum three years of sales or territory management experience, industry experience preferred but not required Residence within the Vancouver or Lower Mainland area is preferred Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Ability to work independently with high accountability and self motivation Proven problem solving and decision making capability Ability to quickly onboard, absorb account knowledge, and deliver results within a defined contract period Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Strong negotiation and closing skills Valid driver license Excellent verbal and written communication skills Compensation and Benefits Estimated on target earnings of approximately $80,000 annually Benefits package including life insurance, long term disability, dental care, and extended health care Comprehensive onboarding and product training Supportive and collaborative team environment Mobile phone and laptop provided Sales Territory and Work Schedule British Columbia, with regular travel across the territory as required Monday to Friday Work location is remote and on the road within the assigned territory Expected Contract Term Expected start date: As soon as possible Contract duration: 12 months About Alendel Alendel is a family-run company devoted to creating a single source for fabrics, trimmings, linings, decorative drapery hardware, and related products for the interior design trade.
