Job Description

The role of Sales Lead, International Markets will be responsible but not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Selling conferences to US, Canadian and EMEA markets;
  • Promoting sales to existing clients;
  • Identifying and soliciting potential clients;
  • Leading and supervising teams of 3-5 sales reps for conferences;
  • Leading ongoing training with new reps, to ensure sales methods and processes remain with the same level of continuity;
  • Producing weekly reports to director level management based on product and team performances;
  • Leading from the front by ensuring personal sales goals and k.p.i.'s are achieved every month;
  • Consulting with clients and identifying specific client needs;
  • Conducting sales transactions by offering products and services that cater to client needs;
  • Continuously communicating between sponsorship, production and event planning teams.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school is required;
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience including experience selling in Canadian, US and EMEA markets, with 3+ years' experience being within the conference industry;
  • Leadership skills and proven track record of achieving high kpi's (100+ calls per day) and targets
  • Experience preparing sales reports for senior management
  • Consultative sales skills with a focus on need based selling within the B2B environment
  • Excellent negotiation skills in dealing with procurement practitioners and C-level Executives
  • Flexibility to work changing hours based on geographical markets is required
